Straight from Wikipedia: “Signal-to-noise ratio is an electrical engineering measurement, also used in other fields, defined as the ratio of a signal power to the noise power corrupting the signal. In less technical terms, signal-to-noise ratio compares the level of a desired signal (such as music) to the level of background noise. The higher the ratio, the less obtrusive the background noise is.”
In failing to come up with a clever name for this blog, I thought the next best thing was to borrow it from a bunch of electrical engineers- it’s not like they would notice it missing anyways.
Investment Signal is my attempt to reduce the noise that corrupts the smart investment decision making that ultimately prevents you from achieving your long term objectives. By filtering out the static and making sure the true signal is heard, I can do my part to ensure that the foundation for investment success is in place.
